Dr David Higgins is a leader in Real Estate Research.
Previously Professor of Real Estate, Birmingham City University and past Visiting Professor, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and Xiamen University, China. David has worked in both industry and academia in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and China. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has strong industry links.
Prior to academia, David worked in the property industry including Colliers International, Bayleys Real Estate, Jones Lang LaSalle and Tyndall Property Fund Management. For the past five years, David’s scholarly research included property market performance and strategies, and new concepts of property risk. Funded research covered property market structures, property finance and social housing covering development and performance challenges.
